  • I wanted to have a nice early family New Year’s Eve dinner so I made a reservation for 5 people, one being in a wheelchair. We arrive a few minutes early around 5:00 to an almost empty restaurant. That was done purposely so that we could visit. There are definitely pros and cons regarding this restaurant. Pros: the food was fantastic. In our party we had Oxtails, Blackened Salmon, Gumbo, Peach Salad, Wings, Cornbread and Collard Greens. The food was very tasty and the portions were right on point. We requested to see the Chef and the Sous Chef, Prince, came out to greet us. We let him know how much we enjoyed our meal and he was pleased. The atmosphere of the restaurant tells the story of the Harlem Renaissance with nods through pictures, wording placement as it totally fit with those historic times. Cons: The bank of elevators is right smack in front of the hostess booth so if there is a line when you step off of the elevator, you step directly into the middle of the line. This is certainly not conducive to someone in a wheelchair as there’s nowhere for them to go. The hostess booth should be moved away from the elevators. There is a way they could rearrange it to allow for a flow if there’s a line. The hostess, Tatiyana, seemed to have an issue either hearing the name of our reservation or not understanding. She finally lead our party to the table but then midway through dinner, someone came to us and asked us again what name our reservation was under. (Insert blank look here). Finally, the restaurant has a bar area and a restaurant area. It appeared that people at the bar were getting their drinks much faster that people investing time in a dining experience. If this is meant to be a bar, let that be known. I’m no bartender but I can’t figure out why it would take 20 minutes and 5 separate requests to get a White Russian. It was annoying to have to repeatedly continue to ask for the drink. By the time they finally brought out the drink, we had finished our food but now had to wait for the member our party to finish the drink. All in all, I would return for the food. Ivan did a good job as our server. I was sad to see that the gratuity had already been included because I would have given a larger tip, but once a restaurant automatically adds it in, that’s it for me. I think it hurts servers when restaurants do that. I will return and thank you for such good food.

  • Burger was very good. Chicken wings as appetizers should never be oversized. Drinks were very good. Overall food was average and a bit disappointing. Our friends group tries different restaurants monthly and this one was disappointing.

  • This is such a charming and chic restaurant. And the decor goes well with the rest of the hotel. Music plays throughout, which was enjoyable. It seems like there is always something going on at this restaurant from R&B Thursdays to Brunch on Saturdays— so it’s definitely a popping spot in Harlem. I dinned here two times and stopped by the bar twice as well. I enjoyed every interaction with the team and my food was delicious every time. Luis R was wonderful for my last dine in visit. The chicken and waffles were absolutely flavorful and delicious 18% is always included with every check and I think it’s well deserved. I will say, the hours are inaccurate online for breakfast/brunch but I would definitely return and recommend this restaurant for any meal.

  • What an incredible brunch experience! The decor was absolutely beautiful and made the space feel so welcoming. Every dish we ordered was delicious and clearly made with care. Our server, Ivan, was also very friendly and attentive, which added to the excellent service. But the best part, for me, was the music. It created a fantastic atmosphere without being so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. It's the perfect place to enjoy great food and company without having to shout. Highly recommend!
